MEDIA & SPACE

A multidisciplinary workshop with students from Motion Design, Interactive Media, Music and Scenography at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

Movement is an essential part of how we experience ourselves and the world around us. But how do we move, how do we perceive our bodies, and how does the surrounding space influence us?

The workshop explored these questions through physical exercises, bodywork and experiments with movement in space. By developing a deeper awareness of their own bodies, the students explored new forms of self-perception, challenged physical boundaries and discovered the relationship between body, movement and environment.

These explorations became the starting point for a series of media installations. Translating physical experiences into spatial and audiovisual forms, the students developed interactive works that engage with the body and its movement, making them an integral part of the installations themselves.
